A coalition forms to intervene on sterilization abuse in New York City hospitals.

The coalition is composed of grassroots organizations that include the Committee to End Sterilization Abuse (CESA), the Committee for Abortion Rights and Against Sterilization Abuse (CARASA), the Mexican American Women's National Association (MANA), and the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR).

They will later join the Reproductive Rights National Network (R2N2) in 1981.
