Krebs fights to have laetrile, a substance derived from peach pits, recognized by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA). When laetrile is not accepted, he attempts to market it as Vitamin B15 and to break into U.S. medicine through the marketing of supplements.

Rejected by the FDA as a proven treatment for cancer, laetrile continues to be sold outside of the U.S. An online search today can find thousands of articles both for and against laetrile as a cancer-fighting agent.
