Called a "catamenial receptacle" or "sack," this device is patented by S.L. Hockert in Chicago and modeled off of pessaries, which are used to prevent uterine prolapse. The apparatus consists of a container that is inserted into the vagina and is connected by a string to a belt worn around the waist. There is little evidence to support that it was ever manufactured.
