The Knights of the White Camelia, which are the Texas version of the Ku Klux Klan, forms in response to white supremacist rage about the number of Black voters and newly-elected Black men holding public office in the state. The Knights use a range of violent intimidation tactics to prevent the Black vote from impacting future Texas elections.
