Scientists like Bruno Bettelheim name autism as a psychological disturbance that exists because of apathetic, uncaring mothers. These beliefs will lead to the removal of autistic children from their families, particularly their mothers.

Zero evidence for the theories put forth by Bettelheim and others will ever be found, and they, including Bettelheim, will be proved to be negligent in their "science."
