The Revenue Act of 1934 raises income taxes on the wealthy and reduces them for lower income groups. It also raises estate taxes on the wealthy, closes corporate tax loopholes, and sets limits on lobbying activities by charitable organizations, stating that “no substantial part” of an organization's activities can involve “propaganda” or attempts “to influence legislation."
