After numerous states passed bans on gender-affirming care for minors, Republican lawmakers in multiple states introduce bills that block care for trans adults as well. Most of these bans are targeted at low-income recipients of Medicaid, prohibiting any clinics that receive state funds from providing gender-affirming care. Some bills also ban private care for trans adults up to age 21 or 26.
