To filter by a particular topic and see a smaller section of the data, make a selection on the dropdown “Filters” menu or click “Search” to do a keyword search. Hover over the abbreviated filter tags in the blue boxes to see the complete name of the filter, or click a filter to display all the data with this tag. Tekatsi’ tsiah:khwa Katsi Cook (Wolf Clan), a midwife from the Mohawk Nation, initiates the Akwesasne Mother's Milk Project to monitor and document levels of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and other industrial pollutants in the breast milk of Mohawk mothers living near the St. Lawrence River to understand how toxic contaminants have moved through the local food chain, including mothers' milk.
