"The Bay Area Transformative Justice Collective (BATJC) is a community group based out of Oakland, [California] working to build and support transformative justice responses to child sexual abuse. We envision a world where everyday people can intervene in incidences of child sexual abuse in ways that not only meet immediate needs but also prevent future violence and harm" (BATJC, n.d.).

They do this work through building community spaces for people to practice and learn about the skills of transformative justice as well as to build political analysis.

BATJC's work has been highly influential in introducing tools that support interventions on child sexual abuse using transformative justice strategies. They support a web of other local projects that draw on the model they have developed.
