Minnesota becomes the first state to expressly ban discrimination where the focus is on prohibiting discrimination against trans people.

The ban focuses on discrimination based on a person's sexual orientation and/or gender identity in housing, insurance, goods and services, contracts, health benefits, hospital visitation rights, and employment.
