The Labor Management (or Taft-Hartley) Act is passed.

Date: 1947

LAB
LLP

By 1945, over 2 million people in the United States are engaged in labor disputes. The Labor Management Act is promoted by business interests, including the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), and is called the "slave labor bill" by labor leaders. The act significantly reduces the power of the labor unions, and builds in an anti-communism clause.
