To filter by a particular topic and see a smaller section of the data, make a selection on the dropdown “Filters” menu or click “Search” to do a keyword search. Hover over the abbreviated filter tags in the blue boxes to see the complete name of the filter, or click a filter to display all the data with this tag. The association is founded thirty years after the dissolution of the National Association of Colored Nurses.

Black nurses gather in caucus and decide to establish their own organization. In particular, their goals are to unite Black nurses to influence healthcare services for Black people, and to promote the inclusion of Black people in nursing education and leadership positions.
