Alan A. Reich founds the organization to raise public awareness about people living with disabilities. It will become a coalition of disability groups across the country. Their first objective is to fight for the inclusion of President Roosevelt's statue in his wheelchair at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) Memorial.
