The institute focuses on water cures and Swedish massage. It is the first school to teach Swedish massage (which will soon be referred to simply as "massage") in the United States. The founder, George Taylor, invents a range of massage tools and exercise equipment. The institute will later be renamed the "Improved Movement Cure Institute."
