CRACK gives monetary incentives of $200 in exchange for tubal ligations and long-term contraception to women with substance abuse struggles who are living in poverty. The women CRACK targets are predominantly of Latin American and African descent, and are not fully informed of the long-term effects of their decision.
At the time of writing, the organization is now based in North Carolina, and has several chapters throughout the U.S.
