A Black woman, Adella Bond, moves into a predominantly white neighborhood. White neighbors riot to push her out, throwing rocks and screaming. The violence escalates over the course of four days. Sixty Black people and three white people are arrested, despite the fact that many witnesses, both Black and white, claim that white people are the main instigators. Four people die–three white and one Black–and many more are injured.
