This move happens after Rockefeller’s Standard Oil Trust is found guilty of illegal business practices by the U.S. Supreme Court and is ordered to shut down.

The foundation focuses on pharmaceutical investments, such as funding the patenting of new and existing drugs. It also makes donations to medical schools and hospitals.
