The Reproductive Rights National Network (also known as "R2N2") is formed in 1978 in response to the nationwide debate about abortion. The coalition includes approximately 50 feminist organizations across the U.S., and devotes itself to making reproductive choices available for all women.
They campaign for safe abortions and against the sterilization of low-income and working-class women. The organization will be disbanded in 1984.
Women of Color-led organizations will begin emerging in the next decade centering a gender, economic, and racial justice lens, and anti-eugenic, anti-population control analysis.
